Dr. Nicholas Chauvin has a personal commitment to excellence and strives to provide the best dental care for his patients. As a fourth generation dentist, he is honored to continue the tradition of dentistry in his family. His father, Dr. James Chauvin, is an orthodontist currently practicing in Clifton Park, and his grandfather, great grandfather, and great uncle were dentists in Mechanicville and Schenectady. The tradition of dentistry has been in the family for close to a hundred years!
Dr. Chauvin attended Siena College and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Creighton University Dental School. He completed a year of post graduate training at St. Clare’s Hospital in Schenectady where he gained extensive training on the management of medically complicated patients as well as further experience in each of the individualized specialties of dentistry.
Dr. Chauvin has attended many hours of continuing education courses focused on implant restorations, esthetic reconstruction, and multi-disciplinary care. He is professionally affiliated with the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Fourth District Dental Society. Dr. Chauvin enjoys golfing, tennis, skiing, and of course spending time at the Saratoga race track in the summer!
Dr. MaiAn Vu was born and raised in Olympia, Washington and obtained her Bachelor of Science at the University of Washington. She attended the Creighton University Dental School and was awarded the Perion-Rucker Scholarship for her scholastic achievements. After receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery, she completed her post graduate training at a General Practice Residency at St. Clare’s Hospital in Schenectady, New York.
Dr. Vu loves the practice of dentistry and has an exceptionally caring attitude towards both her patients and her work. She has been praised for taking the time to listen to her patients and she is committed to delivering the best treatment possible in the most comfortable and compassionate manner. Two aspects of dentistry of particular interest to Dr. Vu are pediatric and cosmetic dentistry. She has an affinity for children and thrives on the sense of fulfillment when improving a patient’s self esteem through their smile.
Dr. Vu is professionally affiliated with the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Fourth District Dental Society. Dr. Vu has completed many hours of continuing education and enjoys taking courses to stay abreast of all the new technology and techniques that continue to change in the field of dentistry. In her spare time Dr. Vu enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Chauvin, and their daughters, Lily and Ella. She also loves music, reading, and skiing.
Dr. Ryan Yurchak grew up in Clifton Park and has also been a long time patient of our practice. He attended Shenendehowa School District and then SUNY Geneseo majoring in Biology. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Yurchak received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Interested in all facets of dentistry, he moved back to the capital region, completing his General Practice Residency at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Most of his time is spent with family and friends, particularly outdoors exploring all the Adirondacks have to offer.

Dr. Lisa T. Berls received her B.S. in biology from SUNY Geneseo in 1996. She continued her education at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her D.D.S. degree with a minor in pediatric dentistry. She followed her education with a residency at Buffalo General Hospital in
Buffalo, NY.
In addition to private practice, she continued her hospital training working with special needs patients at Tricounty Hospital in Gowanda, NY. Dr. Berls moved to the Capital District in 2003 and was honored to join this practice in 2004. She lives in Saratoga with her two daughters and husband, Dr. Robert Berls, a local Endodontist.
